ARRCC is a registered charity providing a range of support, advice and training opportunities for physically and sensory impaired adults and those suffering from dementia. We try and give disabled adults the confidence to make the most of their lives and give them access to all the opportunities available to the wider community. We aim to rebuild lives and equip our members with the skills they need to face the future with confidence and optimism. We do this by providing a holistic approach to service provision, creating opportunities to access educational, recreational and therapeutic facilities. We enable people to live independently through providing support services. We also help to support vulnerable and isolated members of the community by providing a transport service.
We currently provide services five days a week in Rye at Rye Creative Centre and 3 days a week to ARRCC Elders at Magdala House. We have a growing homecare service and we also run social enterprises in the form of ‘The Furniture Warehouse’ and ‘Pre-Loved Fashion & Homeware’, a high-end charity shop – both based in Rye. We stage a number of fundraising events throughout the year ranging from theatre shows and gigs to quiz nights and exhibitions in house at the Creative Centre, Rye in our theatre and gallery spaces as well as external fundraisers such as Open Gardens and Fashion shows.
