3 hour workshop suitable for young people (14+) / students / emerging professionals
How do you use theatre and live performance to refect on difficult world issues without alienating your audience? Can humour be used as a tool, to allow an audience to engage with seemingly daunting content?
In this workshop based around their own practice, Nasi Voutsas and Bertrand Lesca offer simple acting and devising techniques to help young theatre-makers create new work on contemporary topics.
Both creators and performers of EUROHOUSE, Bertrand and Nasi have worked for established theatre directors and companies such as Fevered Sleep, Cheek by Jowl and Peter Brook.
Bertrand is currently an Associate Lecturer at Bath Spa University, teaching adaptation and
devised theatre, and is co-Artistic Director of FellSwoop Theatre.
Nasi trained at East 15 acting school and is a co-founder of Antler Theatre, which has produced
exciting devised theatre since 2011, presenting work at the BAC, The Bush and BE Festival.
