£45 per week paid in advance or £40 per week paid in advance when you book 3 or more sessions
This is a relaxed, friendly class with a maximum of 4 students per session. It’s suitable for beginners through to experienced printmakers. You’ll be working at your own speed on your own images so if you need to arrive late or leave early it’s no problem at all.
1 Rochat etching press, just big enough to print on A1 paper
There’s a range of techniques you can work with, you can stick to one, try them all & even combine them.
Photopolymer etching from photos or drawings (aka solar plate etching)
Please wear old clothes/overalls; we’ll be using oil based inks and you will get messy! Disposable gloves, inks, turps, tissue, newsprint and scrim are included in the price, printing plates, paper and other specialist materials can be bought during the class or brought in. Bring drawings or photos to work from; either on a memory stick or hard copy. Bring a packed lunch, tea and coffee is provided.
If you’re brand new to printmaking and would like to come and see the facilities and some examples or plates and prints do get in touch, and I’ll give you a bit of an introduction to it all.
