Painting with Nick Archer
Nick is starting an exciting new series of painting workshops and a mentoring program.
WEDNESDAY LIFE DRAWING: Weekly sessions on Wednesdays 5.30 – 7.30 pm for 6 weeks, starting 26th February.
Cost: £90 for all 6, £17 per class if less than 6 are booked (booked and paid for in advance) or £20 drop in fee per class.
The classes follow the traditional life drawing routine of a combination of short and long poses with a different model each week.
THURSDAY PAINTING: Weekly sessions on Thursdays 4.00 – 7.00 pm for 6 weeks, starting 27th February.
Cost: £100 or £19 per class if less than 6 are booked (booked and paid for in advance) or £22 drop in fee per class.
The subject matter will be ‘still life’ as Nick has access to some extraordinary sculls of a horse and a wild boar. The course will focus on colour, colour mixing and how to apply it – a hands-on course where Nick will be helping participants mix colours (mainly oil paint) and explain how to use complimentary colour mixing.
MENTORING PROGRAM offers one-to-one help and guidance on developing ones work through to professional practice as well as ways to exhibit your work and approach galleries. This is for those who have work in progress. It involves studio visits etc. The cost for this is £25 per hour including travel time.
Wednesday Painting Group, Wednesdays 10am to 12.30pm
Collective of artists using a wide range of approaches, including drawing and painting from life models and still life using a variety of media.
