Introduction to drypoint and collagraph printmaking with Marigold Plunkett

In this focused one-day workshop you’ll learn the principles of drypoint and collagraph printmaking. Enjoy the diverse results that can be achieved through very simple and direct techniques. You will scratch, mark and score into different surfaces, often using household items such as Tetra Pak, sandpaper and parcel tape to create your image. You will also have the opportunity to experiment with building up further layers and adding colour to your prints. The techniques you will learn offer endless possibilities for producing unique prints. This workshop is for both beginners and intermediate learners and can be adapted to suit your printmaking experience.

The classes will run 10.30 am-4.00 pm with a 30-minute lunch break. There’ll be a maximum of 4 people in each class.
£90 per person includes two plates (approximately A5) and sundries.

Paper and extra plates will be available to purchase on the day.
An apron, old clothes and protective gloves are highly recommended as it can be a messy business.
Don’t forget a packed lunch.
