Handel - Aminta e Fillide
Steven Devine regularly directs the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment among other leading groups; Mary Bevan appears regularly with leading conductors, orchestras and ensembles around the world and was awarded an MBE in 2019; Rowan Pierce has made her recent debut at Glyndebourne and has an upcoming role at the Royal Opera House as Papagena in 22/23.
After a first half of orchestral delights, the second half brings Handel’s mini-opera, the fifty minute Italian Cantata that tells the story of the shepherd Aminta who falls for the elusive nymph Fillide and is rejected until Cupid manages to change her mind.
