From printmaking and sculpture to painting, photography, and textiles, our autumn show is an exciting exhibition of fine art and crafts from over twenty resident studio holders at Rye's very own hub of creativity, Rye Creative Centre. The exhibition this year is curated by Rowena and Alex from ROSA Magazine.
Located just a 5-minute walk from Rye's town center, the former school, now a creative center for artists, makers, and performing artists, is very easily accessible. It also provides a large, free car park for those visiting by car.
Make sure to mark this event in your diaries and come and enjoy a wide array of art and crafts creatively exhibited in a beautifully restored former school gymnasium.
We also have Open Studios event running on 20th September between 5 PM and 8 PM, and again on 21st September between 10 AM and 4 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to talk first-hand to the artists and to view their work in the environment in which it was created, with the added bonus of being able to buy directly from the artist.
On Saturday 21st, our lovely neighbour, Esther from GroundUp Coffeeshop, will be running a pop-up cafe in the Art Room, providing drinks and tasty treats for those visiting studios and the exhibition. Esther makes faboulous coffee and delicious snacks, so make sure you pop in to see her.
