About the Event

Tickets are now on sale for what will be Rye Lawn Tennis Club’s fifteenth annual opera concert involving alumni of the Jette Parker Artists section of the Royal Opera House. All the musicians were selected by the ROH from amongst the many young, talented and aspiring singers and repetiteurs who apply each year from all over the world – the successful ones are then trained and supported by them in Covent Garden.

The concert will be held at 7pm on Saturday November 30th in the Old Gym at the Rye Creative Centre, New Road, Rye TN31 7LS. The price per ticket is £50 which includes programmes and drinks beforehand and in the interval.

Siri Fischer Hansen has kindly enlisted the following ex Royal Opera House Jette Parker singers for us:

Anita Watson – Australian soprano

Monika Evelin Liiv – Estonian mezzo (who has sung for us on several occasions in the past, the first time being in 2010 at our first ever concert)

Michael Gibson – Scottish tenor

Josef Jeongmeen Ahn – Korean baritone

Oliver Gooch, our popular conductor and pianist, who will once again be our repetiteur and arranging the programme, which will have something in it to suit all tastes.
