Introduction to Dress-Making

  • Rye Creative Centre New Road England, TN31 United Kingdom (map)

A chance to join Celia Pollington, Textile Tutor, to enjoy a day getting your textile and or fashion project going.

Maybe you have little experience and need help with cutting out your fabric or maybe you have reached a technique that you need to be shown how to complete, such as inserting a zip.

Or maybe you want to tackle pattern cutting and make your own individually designed paper pattern? Of course, you may want to tackle the 3R’s of recycling, repair or rescuing a loved textile item?

Do bring along your dressmaking challenges to the workshop. Enrol for one or both dressmaking workshop days.
The second workshop will take place on Friday 18th February at the same times.

Remember to bring your own small dressmaking equipment to use. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine to use too, but a class sewing machine will be available.

The day is ideal for all levels of dressmaking experience.

Timings, 10.00am to 3.00pm.

Course fee £60 per day.
