Jillian Eldridge - Studio 101b
Jillian works in oil paint and water colour. Her paintings have slowly changed from pure abstraction to the series of gold paper paintings, the migration paintings including grid paintings which were semi figurative and recently she has discovered her love for landscapes and portrait painting.
Her reconnection with the landscape has come about through her concern for diminishing countryside and natural habitat and to this end she has started a meadow restoration project and wader scrape in the village field near her home. This has had the effect of concentrating her ideas for painting more directly on landscape and the ever changing light and glorious colour occurring throughout the days and seasons.
